Emergency dentist near Brickell,
same-day help around your calendar.

If you need an emergency dentist near Brickell, Prana Dental is open at 3050 Biscayne Blvd in Edgewater, with same-day appointments Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm. Call or text (786) 579-0521 first so we can hold a time that fits between your meetings.

Dental emergencies on a Brickell schedule

Brickell runs on calendars. Between the bank and law offices along Brickell Avenue and the condo towers around Brickell City Centre and Mary Brickell Village, a lot of people here plan the day in tight blocks, and a broken tooth at 11am can knock every one of them over. Our hours run from 8am to 8pm, six days a week, which leaves room before the first call of the day, after the last one, or on a Saturday.

Here is the kind of call we expect from the financial district: a crown that pops off at lunch two hours before a client presentation, a molar that cracks on ice from a cocktail, or an old filling that gives way the morning of a board meeting.

Your crown came off before a meeting: the next hour

A cracked tooth is a different problem from a lost crown. Sharp pain when you release a bite, or a twinge with cold that lingers, can point to a crack that may keep spreading, so stop chewing on that side and book a same-day visit rather than holding out until the weekend.

  • Find the crown and keep it in a small bag or container, not a napkin that ends up in the trash.
  • If the tooth zings when air hits it, skip cold drinks for now; the iced coffee can wait.
  • To get through the afternoon, a pharmacy dental cement or denture adhesive can hold some crowns in place temporarily. Never use super glue or household glue, which can damage both the tooth and the crown.
  • Chew on the other side and avoid anything sticky, like caramel or gum.
  • If it aches, an over-the-counter pain reliever taken as the label directs usually helps. Don't hold a pill against the gum, since that can burn the tissue.
  • Call or text (786) 579-0521 and tell us when your meeting ends. A temporary fix isn't a substitute for an exam.

When an open dentist or the ER is the right call

Some situations still belong in the ER rather than a dental chair: swelling that spreads toward the eye or neck, a fever with a toothache, any trouble breathing or swallowing, bleeding that won't slow with steady pressure, or a hard hit to the face. Those can signal a spreading infection or a fracture, and a hospital is equipped for both.

What a same-day visit looks like

When you call or text, tell us what happened and how it feels. Dr. Rana, a general dentist trained at NYU College of Dentistry, examines the tooth himself, explains what he finds in plain language and lays out your options. The cost of any treatment is confirmed in writing before he starts, so you decide with the numbers in front of you. If dental work makes you tense, oral sedation is an option.

Many lost crowns can be cleaned and cemented back when the tooth underneath is healthy; otherwise a new crown may be needed, and Dr. Rana works with our in-house lab on it. A crack that reaches the nerve may need a root canal. When a tooth can't be saved, replacing it is a separate and unhurried decision: see dental implants for Brickell patients (a single implant from $1,999, including the abutment and crown) or All-on-4® for Brickell if several teeth are failing. Planning for either starts with a free first visit: an exam, a 3D scan and a smile preview.

Most major dental insurance is welcome here, and we check your benefits for you. For costs your plan doesn't cover, 0% financing is available on approved credit through CareCredit, Cherry and LendingClub. More on urgent care at Prana is on our emergency dentist page.

Getting here from Brickell

The drive usually takes 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic. Most people head north on Brickell Avenue, cross the Miami River and follow Biscayne Blvd up to NE 30th Street; if the surface streets are jammed, I-95 north to I-395, then north on Biscayne, is the other common route. The office is at 3050 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 703, with building parking and street parking nearby.

Metromover's Brickell Loop connects to downtown, but Metromover does not reach Edgewater; its Omni Loop ends around NE 15th Street, roughly a mile and a half south of us. A Metrobus along Biscayne Blvd can cover the rest (check the GO Miami-Dade Transit app for current routes and times), though a rideshare from your office tower straight to our building's drop-off on Biscayne Blvd is usually simpler.

More about the trip and our other services is on our Brickell page. If you live closer to the office, our Edgewater emergency guide covers the neighborhood itself.

Questions, answered

Can I see an emergency dentist before work in Brickell?

Appointments start at 8am, Monday to Saturday, and same-day times are available when you call or text first. The office is in Edgewater, about 15 to 20 minutes north of Brickell depending on traffic, so an early slot can still leave time for the drive back.

My crown fell off at lunch. Can I glue it back on myself?

Not with super glue or household glue. A pharmacy dental cement or denture adhesive may hold it for a few hours, as long as you keep the crown clean and chew on the other side. Then call or text so Dr. Rana can check the tooth and cement or replace the crown properly.

Is there an emergency dentist near Brickell open on Saturday?

Prana Dental is open Saturdays from 8am to 8pm and closed on Sundays. Call or text (786) 579-0521 first so we can hold a same-day time.

Does the Metromover go from Brickell to Prana Dental?

No, it stops short. The Omni Loop stops around NE 15th Street, so riders coming from the Brickell Loop usually finish by rideshare or Metrobus along Biscayne Blvd.
