For many families, dental implants in Little Havana are about a tooth that has been missing for years, sometimes since long before a parent or grandparent arrived in Miami. Prana Dental's bilingual team can hold the whole consult in Spanish, with family members in the room if you like, at our office on Biscayne Blvd in Edgewater.
From $1,999 for each tooth replaced. The implant, abutment and crown are included, and the exact price is handed to you in writing before treatment.
Little Havana, around Calle Ocho, Máximo Gómez Park (Domino Park) and the Tower Theater, is a largely Spanish-speaking neighborhood where several generations often live under one roof or a few blocks apart. Decisions about an abuela's teeth are often made together, with a son or granddaughter helping with the calendar and the ride.
Our team speaks English and Spanish, so nobody has to translate for anyone. Dr. Rana can explain the scan, the steps and the price in plain terms, and relatives are welcome to join the conversation. Información sobre implantes dentales en español.
When a tooth has been gone a long time, a few things usually change. The bone where the root used to be tends to shrink. The neighboring teeth can tip into the space, and the tooth above or below may start to grow down or up toward the gap. None of that rules out an implant, but it shapes the plan.
Some people need a bone graft first to build up the area, and some need a neighboring tooth treated before an implant makes sense. The 3D scan at your first visit shows how much bone is left, which is where planning begins. If the case is complex, Dr. Rana refers you to an oral surgeon and keeps the rest of your care with us.
Longtime wearers of a partial denture often ask whether implants can help. For one or two missing teeth, an implant or an implant bridge can take the place of a removable partial. If most teeth are missing, a full-arch option such as All-on-4® may be worth discussing.
Plan on 15 to 25 minutes behind the wheel, depending on traffic. One way is I-95 north to I-195 east, then onto Biscayne Blvd and down to NE 30th Street. The other is SW 8th Street (Calle Ocho) east toward downtown, then north on Biscayne Blvd the rest of the way.
Our office is at 3050 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 703, with building parking and street parking. If a relative is bringing an older parent, a car or rideshare can stop right at the building on Biscayne Blvd. Metrobus routes run along Biscayne too; check the GO Miami-Dade Transit app for current routes.
Step one is a free first visit, made up of an exam, a 3D scan and a smile preview. If you need X-rays or a CBCT scan to plan the implant, we explain the reason and the cost before taking them.
A single implant is a post in the jaw, an abutment and a crown. After placement, the bone usually takes a few months to heal around it, depending on your bone and health, and then the crown from our in-house lab is fitted. Oral sedation is available for anyone who feels nervous. Each step is described more fully on our dental implants page.
The price for one implant tooth begins at $1,999 and takes in the implant, the abutment and the crown. If a graft or an extraction is needed, it's listed separately, and you receive the exact price in writing before treatment.
Older family members often ask about Medicare first. Under Original Medicare, implants are generally not covered. Some Medicare Advantage plans do include dental benefits, though they may pay for only part of the work. For adults on Florida Medicaid, dental coverage is limited and usually leaves implants out. We work with most major dental insurance as well, and we check your benefits for you.
Families who'd like to split the cost into monthly payments can apply for 0% financing options on approved credit through CareCredit, Cherry and LendingClub.

Yes. The team is bilingual, so the exam, the explanation of your scan and the price discussion can all happen in Spanish. Family members are welcome to come along.
Often, yes, but after that long the bone may have shrunk, and he might need a graft first. His health and medications matter as well. The 3D scan at his first visit shows where things stand.
Usually not under Original Medicare, which generally leaves implants out. A Medicare Advantage plan with dental benefits may help with part of the cost. Bring the plan card and we check your benefits for you.
