Dental implants near Miami Beach,
just across the causeway.

Dental implants near Miami Beach don't have to mean a long drive: the Julia Tuttle Causeway comes off a few blocks north of Prana Dental on Biscayne Blvd in Edgewater. For hospitality workers, shift workers and residents who spend only part of the year on the island, Dr. Aakash Rana, DDS can plan implant visits around the weeks and hours you actually have.

Implant, abutment and crown from $1,999. Whatever your case adds, the full price is confirmed in writing before the first step of treatment.

Implants around hotel shifts and seasonal calendars

Miami Beach runs on hotels, restaurants and events, and many people who live there work nights, weekends or long shifts in the busy months. Others are seasonal residents who spend part of the year on the island and the rest somewhere else.

An implant fits that kind of life if you plan it as a sequence. The placement and the crown are the two appointments that matter most for timing; in between, the bone heals around the implant, which often takes a few months depending on your bone and health. Some people book placement at the start of a stretch in town and the crown near its end, and whether that works depends on your case.

For hospitality workers, a slower week is often the easiest time for placement, since you may be sore for a few days. The shorter check-ins and the crown visit can usually go before or after a shift, with appointments from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday.

Getting here from Miami Beach

From Mid-Beach or North Beach, the Julia Tuttle Causeway (I-195) is the usual route. It comes off near NE 36th Street and Biscayne Blvd, a few blocks north of the office, so the trip is often about 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic.

From South Beach, plan on roughly 15 to 20 minutes. Take the MacArthur Causeway (I-395) and head north on Biscayne, or use the Venetian Causeway, a toll road that lands near NE 15th Street, and continue up Biscayne Blvd to NE 30th Street.

Park in the building or on a nearby street. Rideshare drivers can drop you at 3050 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 703, and the GO Miami-Dade Transit app shows Metrobus options along Biscayne.

Who implants suit

Implants replace one missing tooth, or several, with posts in the jawbone that carry crowns or a bridge. They tend to suit adults with healthy gums, enough bone and good general health. Smoking can affect healing, which is worth knowing before you plan around a busy season.

If you're missing just one tooth, an implant with an abutment and crown leaves the teeth around it as they are. A row of missing teeth can often be restored with a bridge on two implants. More on how the treatment works is on our dental implants page, and for whole-arch cases, see All-on-4® for Miami Beach.

The visits, in order

  • A first visit at no charge: exam, 3D scan and smile preview.
  • Extra imaging only if your bone needs a closer look, with the reason and the price explained first.
  • Placement, planned and carried out by Dr. Rana, with oral sedation available; cases beyond a general practice go to an oral surgeon by referral.
  • A healing period, with a check or two along the way.
  • Your crown, made in our in-house lab and fitted to your bite.

Price, financing and insurance

Each implant tooth begins at $1,999, a price that bundles the post, the connector piece (abutment) and the crown. Anything extra, such as an extraction or a graft, is spelled out with your exact price in writing before treatment begins.

Seasonal income can make a lump sum awkward, and 0% financing options on approved credit through CareCredit, Cherry and LendingClub can spread the cost. Whether your coverage comes from a hotel or restaurant employer or a plan you bought yourself, we accept most major dental insurance; the details vary plan to plan, so we check your benefits for you.

Prana is open. Call or text (786) 579-0521, or use WhatsApp on that number; the team works in English and Spanish.

Miami Beach implant questions

How long is the drive from Miami Beach to Prana Dental?

From Mid-Beach or North Beach, often about 10 to 15 minutes over the Julia Tuttle Causeway, depending on traffic. From South Beach, usually 15 to 20 minutes via the MacArthur or Venetian Causeway.

I'm only in Miami Beach for part of the year. Is an implant still realistic?

Often, yes, with planning. The key appointments are the placement and the crown, with healing in between. Tell us your dates at the first visit and Dr. Rana will say whether your case can fit them.

Can I work a restaurant or hotel shift the day after placement?

Many people are back at work within a day or two, but standing through a long shift while sore isn't always comfortable. If you can, schedule placement before a day or two off. Oral sedation means someone else has to drive you home.

Does the Venetian Causeway have a toll?

Yes, the Venetian Causeway is a toll road. It lands near NE 15th Street, and from there it's a straight drive north on Biscayne Blvd to NE 30th Street.

What if something feels wrong with my implant while I'm away?

Call or text (786) 579-0521 and describe what's happening. For swelling, fever, trouble swallowing or breathing, or heavy bleeding, see the nearest open dentist or go to the ER.
