Prana Dental is an emergency dentist near Wynwood for the chipped tooth from a night out or the toothache that won't quit mid-shift. We're 5 to 10 minutes east in Edgewater, with same-day appointments Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm. Reach us by call or text at (786) 579-0521 before you head over.
Wynwood is murals, galleries, breweries, restaurants and creative offices, and the people who keep it running work around the crowds. Gallery staff cover openings and weekends, brewery and kitchen teams close late, and muralists can spend a full day on a lift painting a wall. When a tooth breaks or starts throbbing, a dentist that only keeps weekday business hours doesn't help much. Our schedule runs Monday to Saturday, 8am to 8pm, so a morning slot after a late close, or an evening one after a day shift, is realistic.
Weekend nights bring their own risks. A slip on a crowded sidewalk, a glass bumped into a front tooth, or using your teeth to open a bottle can chip enamel or crack a tooth in a second.
Facial trauma is a different story. If you fell hard, hit your head, blacked out even briefly, or your jaw doesn't close the way it used to, go to the ER first and deal with the tooth afterward.
Prana Dental is open. A few signs still mean the emergency room rather than our office: severe or spreading swelling, a fever, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or bleeding that keeps going despite firm pressure.
Call or text and tell us what broke, when it happened and whether it hurts. Dr. Rana, a general dentist, examines the tooth, explains whether it needs smoothing, bonding, a filling, a crown or more, and puts the cost in writing before he begins. If you're nervous about dental work, oral sedation is available.
Plenty of people in Wynwood freelance or work for small, independent businesses, so dental coverage varies from person to person. We accept most major dental insurance and check your benefits for you, and 0% financing is available on approved credit through CareCredit, Cherry and LendingClub.
If an injury means a tooth has to come out, Dr. Rana talks through replacement options later, at your pace. Our post on dental implants for Wynwood covers single teeth from $1,999, and All-on-4® near Wynwood explains full-arch care. If the chip is on a front tooth and you want a longer-term cosmetic fix, see veneers near Wynwood; porcelain veneers start from $999 per tooth. Those planned treatments begin with a free first visit (exam, 3D scan and smile preview).
Head east toward Biscayne Blvd on NE 29th Street or NE 36th Street. The trip is about 5 to 10 minutes, depending on traffic, and slower on busy weekend afternoons when the streets around Wynwood Walls fill up. The office is at 3050 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 703, at NE 30th Street, with building parking and street parking nearby.
A rideshare can drop you at the building on Biscayne Blvd, which is the easy option the morning after a night out. Citi Bike Miami stations around the city are another choice, and Metrobus routes run along Biscayne Blvd (check the GO Miami-Dade Transit app for current times).

Dr. Aakash Rana, DDS is a general dentist trained at NYU College of Dentistry, with more than $100,000 in continuing education. He plans and treats each case at Prana Dental himself, works with our in-house lab, and refers to a specialist when a case needs one.
The office is closed on Sundays. Keep any broken piece in milk or water, cover sharp edges, and call or text (786) 579-0521 for a Monday same-day time. If you have heavy bleeding, swelling, a fever or a head injury, go to the ER or an open dentist instead of waiting.
A small chip can often be smoothed or bonded at the same visit, but it depends on how deep the break goes. Dr. Rana checks whether the nerve is involved before recommending anything. You'll see the options and the cost in writing before treatment starts.
The office is open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm, so the morning after a late close or the early evening before a shift can both work. Call or text with your schedule and we'll look for a same-day time that fits.
Not always. A small chip with no pain can usually wait for a regular visit, though it's worth covering any sharp edge. Pain, sensitivity to air or cold, a large missing piece, or a pink or bleeding spot in the break are reasons to be seen sooner.
Call or text (786) 579-0521 after your shift. Same-day openings, including Saturdays until 8pm.
