Why full-arch implant prices vary so much,
and how to read a quote.

By Dr. Aakash Rana, DDS · Updated October 2026

Full-arch implant prices vary so much because two quotes for "new teeth on implants" rarely include the same things. One price may cover four implants, acrylic teeth and nothing else; another may include extra implants, zirconia teeth, extractions, sedation and years of follow-up. This guide explains what moves the number, so you can compare offers fairly, including ours.

Short answer: the biggest price drivers are the number of implants, the material of the final teeth (acrylic or zirconia), whether extractions, grafting and sedation are included, whether you get fixed healing teeth, and what follow-up care is part of the deal. A low advertised price is not a bad sign by itself, but you need the itemized list to know what it buys.

The same words, different treatments

All-on-4®, All-on-X, full-arch implants, teeth in a day, fixed hybrid bridge and full mouth dental implants all describe the same basic idea: a full set of teeth screwed onto implants in one jaw. Underneath that shared name, the plans can be very different.

In Miami, full-arch implant treatment is commonly quoted around $20,000 to $30,000 per arch, and you will also see advertised prices well below and well above that range. At Prana, full-arch treatment starts from $9,999 per arch. None of those numbers means much until you know exactly what each one includes.

The seven things that move the price

1. How many implants

Four implants per arch is the minimum for most fixed full-arch plans. Many people need five or six, especially in the upper jaw, where bone is often softer. Each extra implant adds parts, time and cost. Ask how many implants the price assumes and what happens to the price if your scan shows you need more.

2. Acrylic or zirconia final teeth

This is often the single biggest difference between two quotes. Acrylic bridges cost less and are easier to repair. Zirconia bridges cost more and usually resist wear and staining better. Some offers advertise zirconia; others include acrylic and charge more to upgrade. Our zirconia teeth page compares the two.

3. Healing teeth

After the implants go in, most people wear temporary teeth while the implants heal, which commonly takes a few months. Ask whether those healing teeth are fixed (screwed in) or a removable denture, and whether they are included.

4. Extractions and grafting

If you still have teeth, removing them is part of the work. Some quotes include all extractions; others charge per tooth. Bone grafting may or may not be needed, and a fair quote says whether it is likely for you and what it would cost.

5. Imaging and planning

A 3D CBCT image is usually needed to plan implants safely. Ask whether it is included, charged separately, or required before you get a final price.

6. Sedation

Full-arch surgery can be done with local anesthetic alone or with sedation. The type of sedation and who provides it affect the price. At Prana, oral sedation is available and listed on the quote.

7. Follow-up and repairs

Full-arch teeth need checkups, professional cleanings and the occasional adjustment for years. Ask what follow-up visits are included, what a repair costs, and where you would go if something comes loose on a weekend.

A side-by-side checklist for any quote

Bring this list to every consultation. If an office can't fill in a line, that tells you something too.

What to write down for each full-arch quote
Line itemWhat to ask
ImplantsHow many per arch? What if I need more?
Final teethAcrylic or zirconia? Is the material in writing?
Healing teethFixed or removable? Included?
ExtractionsIncluded for all teeth, or per tooth?
GraftingLikely for me? Cost if needed?
CBCT and X-raysIncluded or separate?
SedationWhat type, and is it included?
Follow-upWhich visits are included, and for how long?
Who treats youWho places the implants and who makes the teeth?
Price confirmationIs the full price confirmed in writing before treatment?

Why a lower price can be honest

A lower price is not automatically a warning sign. Offices that make the teeth in their own lab, keep overhead lean or treat many full-arch cases can sometimes charge less without cutting corners. A starting price can also be fair for a simpler case: four implants in good bone with acrylic teeth costs less to deliver than six implants with grafting and zirconia.

Our own starting price of $9,999 per arch is for a simpler plan. A plan with more implants, grafting or zirconia teeth costs more than that, and we tell you exactly how much, in writing, before anything starts.

When to ask more questions

Whatever the price, slow down and ask more if you notice any of these:

  • The price changes a lot between the first visit and surgery day without a clear clinical reason
  • You are asked to commit or pay a deposit before you have seen an itemized quote
  • Nobody can tell you how many implants or what material the price includes
  • Follow-up care, repairs or the final teeth are vague or "discussed later"
  • You feel rushed, or a discount only applies if you sign today

A good office is happy to explain every line. You should leave a consultation understanding your plan well enough to explain it to a family member.

How insurance and financing fit in

Many dental plans have annual maximums that are often in the $1,000 to $2,000 range, so they may cover only part of a full arch, and some plans exclude implants or have waiting periods. Original Medicare generally doesn't cover dental implants, while some Medicare Advantage plans include dental benefits. We check your benefits for you.

We offer 0% financing options on approved credit through CareCredit, Cherry and LendingClub. See our financing page and the All-on-4 cost guide for more detail.

Full-arch pricing: common questions

Why are some full-arch implant offers so cheap?

Usually because the price covers a simpler plan: fewer implants, acrylic teeth, or extractions and sedation billed separately. Some offices also keep costs down with an in-house lab or high case volume. Ask for an itemized quote to see what the price actually includes.

What should a full-arch implant quote include?

The number of implants, the material of the final teeth, healing teeth, extractions, any grafting, imaging, sedation, follow-up visits, and who does the work. The full price should be confirmed in writing before treatment.

Is zirconia the reason some quotes are higher?

Often, yes. Zirconia final teeth cost more than acrylic, and the material can account for a large share of the difference between two quotes. Make sure you compare the same material.

How much do full-arch implants cost in Miami?

Full-arch treatment is commonly quoted around $20,000 to $30,000 per arch in Miami, with advertised prices above and below that range. At Prana Dental it starts from $9,999 per arch, with the exact price confirmed in writing after your free exam and 3D scan.
